Changes Within

Canberk GÖKÇE ‣
Transformation is not just something changing from its place into another, it is the process of- sometimes entering a new era, sometimes completely changing things, and sometimes completely restarting things. Not every transformation is dramatic or like- something that is revolutionary. Sometimes it appears as little changes in things, tiny upgrades, also little setbacks as well. However, these tiny changes can still play a really big role in shaping how we, beings live, learn, and actually see the world around them. Throughout our planets history, those changes, or as I can say transformations now, has affected communities, groups, and human progresses, especially in the developing technology and our educational systems. To give an example towards the education system, let’ s say that the schools used to have chalkboards and textbooks that could easily be destroyed, Now, nearly every school all around the World uses laptops, tablets and smart boards in their classrooms. Or let’ s go more general from technology. Internet, AI, other technological robots and devices have been spreading rapidly around the world. They are so useful that instead of getting a pen, getting a paper, getting an envelope, going to the mail, sending it, then waiting for it to get sent, then wait for a reply, then wait for it to get back. Such a long and difficult situation, right? But technology evolved to a point where we just get an electronic device in our hands, press a few buttons on the keyboard, then hit send and done. There are many more examples I could give, but even this one shows how much technology is evolving …
Technology is a really powerful force of transformation. Like from the invention of the way to light a fire to inventions of
smartphones, laptops etc, technology has changed how we live, learn, and communicate. Not just smartphones and laptops though, devices such as washing machines save hours of time.
However, not all transformation is positive. Technology has also changed humanity, how they behave. Some people misuse it for gaining wrong information and worse, spreading it, or using deepfake technology, which can harm people really seriously. Yes, we have all this technology with its pros and cons, but how do we reach the power to activate those technologies? We destroy nature. We use chemicals that turns into chemical gases that easily blends with the original and healthier atmosphere we are meant to breath in. It causes pollution, resource decreasing, and climate change.
In conclusion, transformation is unavoidable. It can bring us comfort, and a much easier life, but it can also cause serious problems with it. The real challenge is learning how to use transformation wisely, so we can learn to improve our lives without destroying our values or our planet.
