Transformation: What is it and How does it Affect Our World?

Zeynep AYAYDIN • İpek Melis TURAN ‣
Transformation is a process that plays an active role in every period, sometimes positively and sometimes negatively affecting every area of our lives. It can be small or large in scale; for example, it may be personal, social, or technological in nature.

The greatest transformations of the last hundred years have occurred in the field of technology, which has fundamentally changed our lives on a mass scale. In recent years, our technological world has undergone major transformations, particularly in areas such as transportation, healthcare, and communication, and continues to do so. For example, journeys that used to take weeks or days to travel from one location to another have now been replaced by journeys lasting only a few hours, enabling us to save time, especially in potential emergencies.
Society also gains cultural and social awareness to keep pace with the transformations taking place; in fact, by getting to know the world they live in better, people initiate a new transformation process.
We believe that transformation is a law of nature, consisting of two stages: the beginning stage and the development stage. Transformation cannot have an end, as each factor prepares the ground for the next one. In other words, these stages continue into one another and cannot be thought of independently.
In our view, transformation is the key to development in our world, because without transformation, the development of a society is impossible.
