Transformation of a World
Erdal Fırat KAYMAZ ‣
The world is always changing, evolving, and transforming in ways we cannot even imagine. This happens regardless. As Heraclitus said,“ The only constant in life is change.” Based on this sentence, our world is always changing.

Let’ s go back to the 20th century. People probably wouldn’ t believe you if you said that“ You’ ll be able to talk with anyone you want around the world; distances won’ t matter.” Since technology was not that advanced in those times, we are developing it. In those days, technology was evolving across various fields, from medical breakthroughs to changes in military practices.
In my opinion, transformation is the backbone of our modern society. If we turn back and look at the ways we cured many diseases, how we found ways to deal with natural disasters, how we found more ways to educate generations and make them informed, and invented more devices to make our lives easier, we can see that all these are the results of determination, imagination, and most importantly, transformation.
However, transformation isn’ t always meant to be good. There are several cons of transformation that welcome us, such as cultural corruption and destruction. Culture is a nation’ s everything, but social media platforms are nearly about to tear that sense apart. Because of the fact that nowadays people can interact with anything via the internet, this makes people lose their cultural identity. This situation makes them vulnerable to the control of other nations, as a result it leads to the conquest of this enslaved nation. As our great leader Mustafa
Kemal Atatürk once said:“ We need two armies to make our country and our people reach the real goal, happiness. One is the army of soldiers to save the country; the other one is the army of culture that shapes the future of people.”
Another negative aspect of transformation is the development of more advanced weapons. The Tsar Bomb is a striking example of this. Throughout history, technological progress has also been used in ways that increase destructive capacity. This bomb was developed by the USSR about 65 years ago. Its power was approximately 50 megatons( around 3,300 times stronger than the bomb used in Hiroshima), and it was once feared that it could even affect the atmosphere. It was also produced in a relatively short time, about 15 weeks. This raises questions about what is possible today. It sometimes seems that transformation has been used for destructive purposes as early as, or even earlier than, for constructive ones.
To sum up, transformation is everything that belongs to us. This is what has kept humanity alive for years. Yet, it’ s not only positive; sometimes there can be bad sides as well. Despite all of these drawbacks, we should learn how to shape our future, and we shouldn’ t forget that maybe with one thing that we do, millions can be affected for generations.
