Evolving Transformations
Dora ÇETİNDOĞAN ‣
Transformation is what we call“ change” in a fancier way. It revolves to something different, for better or for worse. Transformation is usually seen as“ becoming truer” and as we all know- truth is rather painful. This is the reason why people seem to be a bit reluctant to adapt to these transformations. However, transforming overtime is in our blood.

Transformations begin with an external pressure. On one hand, these pressures are negative- a breakup, a rejection or a burnout, on the other hand, these pressures are positive- success, determination or hope for the better triggers the need for a change. No matter what aspect of the pressure triggered the transformation, time is the main pressure. People tend to change the things they have adapted to overtime, saying these things have gotten“ old”. This shows that people are greedy-greedy for something new and better. Therefore, our world changes day by day.
Transformations first began with human birth. We know the phases a human being goes through- an infant, then a toddler, a child, a teenager, an adult and lastly an elder. This is a solid proof that our bodies are familiar with the concept of transformation. After the mankind adapted to its own, objects came next. Humans started to change the way they eat, live, interact, transport, dress up, take care of their health and even the way they search information. As we look at our history, first immense transformation began with the machinery. Steamed locomotives and first factories started to take over. Today, we live in a world where we cannot dream a world without machinery and even newer changes such as AI come to our lives. As a result, we can say that transformation was always here and always will be.
