From the discovery of fire to the Industrial Revolution and the present AI technologies, technological advancements have been a part of humanity since the beginning. Looking at the present, many predictions could be made about the future of technology, ranging from what devices can be made using the ones that are available right now to who has the potential to become a successful entrepreneur. Another aspect of technology is the rapid rise of robotics and AI in work environments that humans have been a part of for years. The fact that robots can be trained in just a few months for jobs that humans need to train for several years is still strange to me, and to many others as well.
Probably, the biggest way technology can help us is with global warming. The fact that global warming is a fatal threat to our planet underscores the urgent need for collective action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, transition to renewable energy sources, and implement sustainable practices to protect our environment for future generations; all of this can be achieved with the help of technology and a team of ambitious scientists and engineers.
It’ s no lie that space travel will be the biggest topic in the upcoming years. Thanks to AI, space travel will be much easier than it is now, which currently requires a lot of fuel and very precise calculations just to escape the Earth’ s gravity. Space travel requires patience.
The use of AI has already been seen in medical practices. The clearest example to me is AI helping researchers spot early signs of chronic diseases. AI can also help manage the staggering number of medical images that clinicians have to keep track of by detecting vital pieces of a patient’ s history and presenting the relevant images to them.
