Nowadays, we use technological innovations at every area of our life. Everyday a new innovation is added to our life and each of them has a great role in shaping our future positively or negatively. Sora. ai is one of the innovations that has been released to public in the previous days. Sora is an AI that can create videos or pictures as you please and although it has some shortcomings, it can still create realistic images. So, how will this technology affect our life?
Before giving an answer, we will have to mention the shortcomings. According to Open. AI, Sora is unable to perceive the physics of complex scenes. It also may not understand cause and effect, dimensions and perspectives exactly and integrate them into the videos. Moreover, objects and beings may disappear or appear, deform and replicate.
Even if most of the videos have some flaws, they are usually hard to discern and due to that, industries related to visuality are being menaced. Studies envision that most of the actors and camera operators will lose their job or will experience salary adjustment. Entertainment industry will lean to AI engineers to employ. This will cause unemployment rates to increase and an inevitable change in global economy. But despite all the facts, humans will still be the ones to control the progress if only they won’ t develop another AI for this also.
In conclusion, while technological innovations happen dynamically, time will show us what will happen. The thing we should keep in mind is that AI is a helpful tool for“ us”. Eventually, humans were the ones to develop this software and improvement of it will be for the benefit of humankind. Although some professions are getting replaced by AI, some will never, because machines just anylze through data, they can’ t create from it.
