Silenzio Bruno !

The title may scare you a little but don ’ t worry I am here to explain it . “ If you know you know , if you don ’ t give heed .” I recently watched a movie called Luca . Basically , the movie is about a boy experiencing a remarkable summer with new friends . Luca is actually a sea creature , but when he gets out of the water he transforms into a human . The same goes with his species . But the part that I want to talk about , which is also related with our subject , is “ Silenzio Bruno !”
Luca steps onto the land for the first time and meets Alberto who is also a sea creature just like Luca . They hang out and talk about their dreams . They are both nuts about Vespas . Eventually they build a Vespa out of scratch and when it comes to trying it out Luca gets anxious about it . But Alberto confronts him and talks about this phrase “ Silenzio Bruno !” He tells Luca to keep that inner voice that keeps on insulting you and constantly tells you that you are not enough , and you should probably give up silence . Silenzio Bruno means shut up Bruno . In my aspect this is a perfect fit for our topic which is about not giving the obstacles a chance to degrade us and shut us down like we are not enough . Don ’ t waste your energy on paying attention to that nonsense noise . Laugh at it , make fun of it . The obstacle that we are talking about here can be physical , mental , social patterns and challenges towards your future goals .
Break the stigmas . Say “ Shut up Bruno !” to social , cultural , historical , economic , racial , intellectual , and mental barriers . You are enough . You are more than enough . Obstacles are just the rocks on the road that lead to your goal . It might be painful if the rocks are big , but at least you know they are not things that will hold you back .
After Alberto ’ s confrontation , Luca gets on the Vespa they made and tries it out . It turns out that it wasn ’ t scary at all . They made it ! Later on , they find out about this competition . If they could win the prize by coming first , they could buy a real- life Vespa . But there was a challenge . Luca and Alberto were in a village of Italy , where everyone was hunting for the sea creatures to win the cash prize . They both turn back into sea creatures from human beings when they have an interaction with the smallest amount of water . But they didn ’ t give up . They said shut up to their inner voice and came first place . It rained during the competition and everyone found out that they were sea creatures . They didn ’ t let the obstacles to get in their way .
The challenges and your disadvantages don ’ t define you . They are just things you should laugh at . They are nothing but stupid noises in your head , that don ’ t mean anything at all . So , whenever you feel like the obstacles in your life are getting a little too tense say “ Silenzio Bruno !” and make those thoughts go away .
