Overcoming Obstacles

Martin Luther King Jr ’ s motto infallibly reminds me of the concepts of overcoming obstacles . It is a part of life - a natural one , the most expected one . Hence , I ’ ve always appreciated the phase . Throughout my life I ’ ve encountered assiduous people , witnessed , and experienced challenges . Although 15 not only have I overcome challenges , but I have also internalized them and grew as an individual . Looking back , I am grateful for having wonderful people in my life , my parents , who comforted me through turbulent times . I consider how fortunate I am to have parents who made sacrifices for my happiness . I had not developed the mental maturity to turn a negative experience into character building blocks . The concept of obstacles was easier , when I was younger , but I was unable to grasp it fully . My mother bought me a bicycle when I was younger . I remember being extremely happy but learning to ride a bike even with side-wheels was difficult . My fear of falling and hurting myself prevented me from attempting to ride . I remember admiring friends because I too wanted to ride my bike , but I knew I was too fearful . After a while my friends decided to teach me . Despite my fear , they helped me get through it and get over my fear of falling . As I overcame my obstacles , I learned that riding a bike is fun . At first , it was scary but in the end it ’ s all worth it . It took some time , but overcoming it made me brave . This example was just a building block for my character . In my opinion , obstacles shape identity and reflect our actions . Lessons learned from hardships often reveal limitations , patterns , beliefs , and skills you hadn ’ t seen or appreciated before . This shift , which increases self-awareness , is powerful . You have to change choices based on significance ; actions , feelings ; and what you have mastered - confidence is invaluable . Through my experience , life will always produce obstacles . Hence the cliche ; when life gives you lemons , make lemonade ! AND Never let difficulties win , always keep writing your story .
Our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake , to adjust to new ideas , to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change .
