Over the centuries , the world has seen many pandemics , such as the Spanish Flu and the Black Plague . Many people died during these pandemics and the lives of survivors became harder than before . The 21st century welcomed people with a new pandemic , the Coronavirus Pandemic . The coronavirus pandemic started in 2020 and its effects are still being felt all around the world . At the very beginning of the pandemic , obstacles between people increased due to the lack of technological knowledge . However , humans are well known to quickly adapt to new environments . Not even 3 months later , people in quarantine learned how to work online and arrange meetings using computers . From the moment the pandemic broke out , people started to work to find a cure and tried to bring an end to the disease while others were trying to develop apps for meetings and education . The 21st century had enough technology for people to communicate with each other by just using a little screen . The communication barrier between people was thus overcome with the help of governments and philanthropists . Some charities also helped families who had children that were going to school . With the assistance of charities and governments , the pandemic passed much easier for everyone .
