Dear Readers ,
Embracing challenges …. I have been thinking of this phrase for days .
I have been thinking of the responsibilities we have towards our beautiful country going through the worst catastrophe of the century .
Facing difficulties throughout our lives is inevitable . Trying to overcome challenges is primarily based on personal perseverance . What follows perseverance is social support .
Challenges must be overcome by transforming the wounds into wisdom .
We , as 95 years old Turkish Educational Association , with the brightly burning torch illuminating our path , are always ready to face challenges as we did in the past .
We are aware of our responsibilities ; our country , children , youth , teachers and education are our priorities .
Change is difficult but not impossible .
Let us first accept our mistakes and deficiencies . Being on the right road is the first step .
We shall not forget the fact that our hearts beat together as one . We truly believe that we will overcome the catastrophe caused by the once-in-a-century earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş .
We were there for our people in Soma , Elazığ and Malatya . We are and will be there again .
Therefore , we are ready to do what the topic of this issue suggests ; we will be embracing challenges .
