Overcoming the Obstacles

Some people see obstacles as a puzzle to solve . Some see it as an opportunity to grow . Some see them as threats . Some see this as something they can ’ t succeed in . Your view of obstacles to achieve your goals affects how you react . If you see them as the world is against you or as a failure , you are likely to be overwhelmed with pain and difficult emotions when facing blocks to your goals . Perhaps you don ’ t really experience thoughts when faced with an obstacle . You may immediately feel fear or shame . Fear will tell you to escape because it is not your comfort zone , and you will feel danger . Shame will urge you to hide because your brain thinks others care about you . But trust me they do not . Either your thoughts or your emotions or both can lead you to stop working on your goals . You lose your passion and desire and your reactions to obstacles stop you from achieving .
Skills For The Wise consideration Of Obstacles
First , Stop ! Take a step back , observe , and proceed mindfully . Second , radical acceptance . Expect obstacles and accept them as a part of the process . Third , let your emotions free . Know that it ’ s normal to feel things . You ’ re a human being ! Forth , use your wise mind . Be sure that you make decisions with a clear mind . Fifth , find meaning . Ask yourself : Does this have any contribution to my life or my understanding anyway ? Finally , treat yourself with respect !
The truth is that achieving goals means overcoming obstacles . It ’ s natural and it ’ s part of the process . Sometimes we can overcome these , and sometimes we can ’ t . Sometimes you have to work around them or find alternatives . The key is not to give up without wise consideration because you hit an obstacle , or because of your emotional reaction to the obstacle .
