There Are No Obstacles , only Stepping Stones
Jumana RABİE
‘ The best way to treat obstacles is to use them as stepping stones . Laugh at them , tread on them , and let them lead you to something better ’
All of us have obstacles in our lives . It ’ s nothing personal . Some people are just better at hiding the difficulty that comes with it . Obstacles can come in all kinds . While something can seem like a huge obstacle in one ’ s life , the very same thing can be a piece of cake for another . The important thing is to know how to break down these barriers that are stopping us from discovering new opportunities and possibilities . We shouldn ’ t let obstacles get in the way of our life , in fact , we should learn how to cope with them . A common obstacle in many people ’ s lives can be the fear of change . Immigration to a new place , moving to a new school , or being promoted at work can scare us all sometimes . But , when you think about it , these changes bring new opportunities and advantages along the way . Immigrating to another country ? You get the chance to exchange cultural information with the society you are put in . New school ? Who knows , maybe you will meet the friends you will hold onto for the rest of your life . Being promoted at work ? Maybe this position will grant you a higher amount of income . Everything that seems hard and difficult , might worth it . Another type of obstacles can be mental fears . Our minds can block our achievements and goals in life . For example , anxiety disorder , eating disorder , panic disorder and stress disorders can affect the way we cope with daily challenges . Knowing how to cope with obstacles is important , because if we fear every obstacle that we face , we would be missing so many wonderful things in life . You have two choices : Evolve , or Repeat . Choose the right one .
