How To Raise A Digital Citizen

As we all know , Gen Z is the first generation to grow up with technology and the Internet . We can also call them “ digital natives ”. They are the first people to meet with the Internet in their childhood instead of their young adulthood like millennials . This brings a few problems and questions to be answered by their parents , as they are the first people to raise their children under the influence of the Internet . How will you handle screen time ? How will you teach them how to use the Internet and technological products properly when you ’ re still learning yourself ? How will you manage their social media accounts ? the chance to explore social media , apps , and share together . It may seem hard but keep in mind that we will serve as a model to future generations .
To conclude , as we live in a digital era . It would make no sense to deny the existence and effects of the internet and our digital natives . To this end , I personally believe that through solid and wise actions we are destined to embrace the new age .
It is an undeniable fact that it is really challenging to set the balance between schoolwork , responsibilities , and the Internet . Gen Z children tend to spend a lot more time on the Internet and it is not just how much time they spend , it is also how they spend their time . Today ’ s kids share almost anything on social media , where they go , what they are doing , who they are with , and so on .
To begin with , it is highly important to know how to react to these . It might be quite natural that we check what our kid is doing on social media . But we should definitely not hover or judge their every single move . If we act too controlling it is very predictable that they will block us from seeing their content and share those things anyway .
Secondly , rather than doing that , we should focus on trying to be supportive even when their posts are less than acceptable to us . Try to remember the things we did while we were teenagers . As long as what they post will not harm themselves in any way , it could be considered acceptable . It is possible that they have
