Technology has been developing for many centuries . Although the majority of the development was made in the past century or even in the last few decades , it has had an enormous impact on our planet . From new job opportunities to tons of new communication methods , technology has impacted everyone across the globe . Knowing how to behave in the digital world is a very important concept that parents and those that are placed in the position of guidance must and should be ready to teach their children as we are in the age of digital control .
Even though there are many things to discuss about technology , digital citizenship is one of the most important topics due to the fact that many people aren ’ t good digital citizens . For example , there are many people out there who are trolls and want to trick you into sharing your information online to gain an advantage over you . These people are easy to avoid when you are a good digital citizen . I want to share my own opinion on how to be a better digital citizen , how to prevent bad things happening to you online and share my ideas on how to justify information online .
To become a better digital citizen , there are multiple rules you must follow . The first and most important one would be to treat others the way you would want to be treated . For example , be polite . This doesn ’ t mean that if you disagree with someone , you shouldn ’ t give your personal opinion . This means that while giving your point of view , you should always be polite and respect others perspective ’ s . Another thing to note is that each time you send a text message or a post etc . it becomes a digital tattoo ; it stays there forever . Even after many years , the things you post online can be seen by family members , peers , teachers and even random people online . And since anything you can
