According to a video about human intelligence by “ Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell ”, one of the most distinctive abilities of humankind is the to use and create tools . All the tools we have created are to serve our needs and those tools constituted the “ technology ” of today . And today , we are at a point that is even hard to believe .
I have been thinking for a while on how our future will be shaped by all the latest technological developments and what I have had in my mind is both impressive and frightening . Since the Metaverse concept has become something that is considered truly important and Facebook has changed its name to “ Meta ”, I have noticed that my dreams are not actually that far away . Our lives may lead the way to a world where nearly everything is virtual . I mean , it is possible that going to school may be off the table very soon . We might get education from home , via metaverse or VR . But this perception of life brings up some questions to my mind . How will we distinguish real from not real ? Since our biggest receptors of reality are our five senses , how are we going to make sure that everything we encounter on Metaverse will be true ? For example , how are we going to make sure that the person we meet on a virtual platform is the person we think s / he is in real life ? I guess , we will not . We will simply accept a new perception of reality and adjust our perspectives according to that .
Right now , I can ’ t believe how technology is changing as well as our lifestyle . And how these affect the concept of reality for all humankind .
