Good global citizenship can be explained as using the Internet efficiently and safely , whilst respecting other citizens ’ boundaries and safety . Bad global citizenship , however , can include cyberbullying , scamming , threatening others , racism , sexism , homophobia , ableism and other sensitive topics within . These situations may not be clearly seen or noticed , but they can still be harmful and may result in horrific ways . For instance , let ’ s think of a situation where various outcomes can be achieved through a variety of possibilities . The scenario contains two citizens : citizen 1 and citizen 2 . Citizen 1 is an ordinary digital citizen , minding her own business on the net , and citizen 2 is a cyberbully . Citizen 2 decides to tease citizen 1 , which leads to actual bullying , and threatening . We ’ ll consider citizen 2 as a normal person . If citizen 1 is a child without parental guidance , it can lead to introvercy and being secretive because of the threats coming from citizen 2 saying that bad things will happen if they tell anyone . If citizen 1 is a person with anxiety or a similar mental illness , that would be triggered because of a situation as such , it can increase the severity of the illness and cause more damage than expected . If citizen 1 is another normal citizen , and the case does not result in their favour , which may end in an argument putting them in a tough situation . The best thing to do in a situation as such is to block the person immediately , refrain from sharing any personal data and tell a guardian / authority .
