Have you noticed that our needs and wants have been changing rapidly , especially in the last century ? One of our needs that has appeared lately is dealing with technology . Technology came with a whole new world which contributes to humanity in some ways . On the other hand , that new world has to have its own rules and responsibilities because it can harm people as well . These are the reasons why the concept of digital citizenship emerged .
Digital citizenship is not just being a part of the development of technology , it also means being a responsible person who additionally obeys the rules of a new era .
Digital citizens should be able to use technological devices that connect themselves to the internet . They should be aware of their rights and should defend the ones who aren ’ t . They shouldn ’ t do the things that they wouldn ’ t do in real life because of ethics and laws .
In the future there may be new problems that we never even thought of , maybe the biggest problems of today will be the smallest ones . So , we should all be qualified digital citizens who are prepared for the possible problems that may arise in the future , and with that maybe we can reach the golden opportunities of technology ; such as metaverse , second life , and maybe even immortality .
