I made this electronic drawing because I think we will be able to modify individual body parts with better ones in the future . We have come closer to doing something like this ; it ’ s called biogenetic engineering . And scientists estimate that with these technologic advances , people ’ s lives could be extended by at least a hundred years . Camera eyes , carbon arms or artificial hearts … I know that it sounds so weird , but believe me the future is weirder . Technologic advances are unstoppable and most of technological tools are inevitable parts of our lives now . Why shouldn ’ t they be a part of our body ?
Let me explain with an example what biogenetic engineering is . So , let ’ s say , you want to grow a certain crop . If you want this crop to thrive , you need to protect it from harsh conditions like cold and hot weather and pests . With biogenetic engineering , we can take a certain gene from another plant and put it into the crop and the crop makes its own pesticide . This is just the experiment for the plants and the scientists have succeeded in it . Now just imagine this for the humanity , just think about it for a moment , humanity has been trying to achieve things like this for centuries , but now we are closer to succeed than ever before . Therefore , I think we will able to change certain parts of our bodies to make them more efficient in the future . So with this abstract electronic picture , I tried to visualise the artificial body parts . Future is exciting , and it is waiting for us . I hope I will be able to be a part of this future .
