Paper To Screen

When we think about digital citizenship , we think about our phones , online games , and chatting with people . A digital citizen is someone who has the knowledge and skills to effectively use digital technologies to communicate with others , take part in society , create and consume digital content .
For the last two years , we have all used digital devices to do online work because of the pandemic . Even though they helped us do our work , we all looked at the screen more than we usually do . Some students had headaches , started wearing glasses , and wanted to do their education face-to-face . Some adults experienced the same things as well . Everyone digitalized every information they had , and they were all useful things to do . But some people use digital devices for online games and they play them for unimaginably long hours . This is a very careless way of using technology and a concerning way to spend your life . Some people get cyber-bullied on the internet which also causes mental health problems and suicides . Compared to verbal bullying , a research study showed that adolescents who reported cyberbullying were 11.5 times more likely to have suicidal ideation , while those who have reported verbal bullying were 8.4 times more likely . There is an enormous difference , but both have high rates . And they are both very upsetting .
Digitalization can also be used in health . Smartwatches use technology to save people ’ s lives and use their data to make that happen . For example , when a person faints , it automatically calls the emergency services and they take care of the situation . Without a doubt , the future of digitalization seems like it will be brighter than the supernovas . It might cause some problems for sure , but we can never stop its improvement , can we ?
