In the circle of life , among all the living creatures in or out of the food chain , humans have always been the most perfect being ; considering the ability to communicate and decide on the best course of action , and intelligence as the most important of them all . However ; even with the greatest traits endowed to us , the desire to procure cohesion along with the desire to be accepted weakens the clarity of mind ; making the so-called statement “ unison is strength ” come true . In the process of forming nations , our sapience grew unceasingly , giving birth to a being which harbors all our beneficial traits without the flaws of ours ; known as Artificial Intelligence . This , nonetheless , brings forth the question asked for decades over and over : Will robots take over the world ?
Contrary to popular belief ; robots have been in the use of people for nearly thirty years . We have no difficulty in handing over the vital tasks to the control of machinery ; since we were bestowed the privilege to decide whether to turn them on or not . Nevertheless , the notion of this machinery possessing the actual ability to think scares most people ; including Stephen Hawking himself . There is no denying the obvious fact that we fear the ones that are not in our understanding . Instances full of grief and discrimination proved so throughout the years . Even so , ignoring the help of AI would be a total ingratitude . After all , it had us profit countless triumphant avails such as ; strengthening the cybersecurity , creating the metaverse and altering reality in the entertainment industry , obviating fatal illnesses by thinking the unthinkable in medicines , and numerous other favors .
Despite the godly aspects , and the perfect wit of AI ; the future controlled by the robots which has been a concept favored by the scriptwriters for many years is , simply , impossible to happen due to its working mechanism . The basics of AI are heavily dependent on “ machine learning ”, an algorithm with the initial purpose of discovering relationships within provided data . To elucidate furthermore ; Google Deepmind ’ s recently developed item Go Player , constantly plays against itself , solving and forming the numerous equations to win the play in question , thus beholding the title of “ unmatched rival ”. This flawless workflow , however , happens to be rather powerless before a player with unique moves . AI is designed for the specific type of tasks , only acknowledging the ones containing the data previously saved and set . Humans , on the other hand , keep on improving a mindset regarding the world leaving AI unable to achieve the similar .
To conclude ; Artificial Intelligence would have taken over the world if only required traits were the intelligence aspect . What it lacks to fulfill this plan is the emotional acumen ; determination , passion , compassion … The familiar scenario of “ the end of the world ” seems to remain a remote threat as long as AI keeps being the brain of mankind , and owns no heart .
