Digital citizenship is the conscious use of this environment by individuals according to the rules . People need certain tools to enter this environment . It can be a phone , a tablet , or any device with the same functions . However , you should know how to use it . It should be used safely and consciously . Acting responsibly and respecting the rights of others is important too .
You can do anything in this digital environment . Online education , banking transactions , shopping , and many more . This has been helpful during the Covid-19 pandemic . When it is used correctly , it has great benefits for people . An American surgeon directed a surgery from the united States , which took place in India , 13,568 km away . A camera was held close to the patient ’ s body so the surgeon was able to tell doctors what to do . The surgeon said it went well . The patient was her mother .
After all , the digital world will be even more important part of our lives in the future . We have to adapt to it . Since we created this environment , it is in our hands to use it wisely . We must increase the good aspects of this environment and prevent the bad aspects from happening as much as possible . Because a lot of bad things can happen if you are not careful in this digital world . For example , your identity , bank account details , and other important data can be stolen by hackers . Many people have been a victim of such crimes . Will this ever stop ? The answer is no . However , educating and training people from an early age will help them to learn the technology better so they can avoid being the victim .
