CORNER ' S BOOK STORE.
Weli boys, we have a start; let ' s keep it up. We have the money now, and the next thing to do is to make ' use of it, and this can be done by buying apparatus for ' Our gymnasium. During the past month the bOY3 of the High School held several meeting; for the purpose of starting a gymnasium for th boys, in the Higb Scbool building. The gvmnasium was no; only to be for High-School boys, but atso the boys from all of tbe other public schools in tbe city. In one of these meeting the tollowtng officers wei I ' elected: S. R. Fulmore, presiden."; Arthur Wooldridge, vice president; Paul Smith, secretary: Howard Key, treasurer. The president immediately appointed a bey from eacb class in the Higb School to represent
IS class in the business mee. ings. The cbairman wrote out a constitution for the asscc. attor-, which was adopted. and t neu a few by-laws were made.
:: Corne of the boys de net understand whether the girls and beys arc goiug to make one gymnasium ' Out of both, or be separate. The presiden ' of the boy, gymnasium should call a meeting right away and decide this Question.
The beys new have about $ 35 in tbe treasury. ar d expect to ha ve $ 5 or $ 6 mere very scou. The work in t ' be gymnasium has begun, and the beys now have th screens over all of tbe winrows. This is a good thing, fer if it had not been done, mere than half or the window panes would have been broken before a week ' s time. Now i: the time far the apparatus cornrn it ce ta do thrir part, and fill the room with a full gymnasium outfit.
