The powwow is a traditional gathering, celebrated particularly among the Comanches. These gatherings started out as talking, dancing, and singing around a campfire. The tribesmen would praise the holy spirits of the world and those who have fallen in battles. They would share stories, passing on the legacy to their descendants. Today the powwow is one of the most greatest Indian feasts in the United States. Indians and non-Indians are welcome every year to join the powwow.
