SARAH
NOOR
Sarah Sumayah Noor is a health administration major at the University
of Memphis. Being of Bengali heritage but raised around different
parts of the world, Sarah says she hopes she can continue her travels
and truly soak in the lifestyle of all people of the world. Pursuing
a B.P.S. with a concentration in Health Administration and Spanish,
Sarah plans to eventually start an organization that involves property
investment. Functioning as an NGO (Non-Profit), she states that she
hopes to start this project in a different country, most likely her home
country of Bangladesh. She says that although the plan she’s drafted
is complex, her end goal is just to be happy and do the work that she is
meant to do.
Sarah however is no stranger to starting organizations that she
believes in. While currently enrolled at The University of Memphis
Sarah is one of the founding sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha. She says
“Lambda Theta is unique in its establishment as a TRUE sisterhood
and the epitome of my own values, goals, and passions. It is incredible
knowing that I have a unified support system of thousands of sisters
who are diverse in so many ways but have managed to maintain these
same exact values for years without having to change any of our true
selves.”
Along with the other founding sisters – Abigail, Edith, Lauren, Rocio,
Cynthia, Maegan and Miriam, Sarah hopes to continue growing the
Epsilon Omega Chapter and remain involved in the community while
bringing positive diversity to the University of Memphis campus.
