arewell my Beloved Cobras!

To say that serving as your commander (King Cobra) for

the past year has been a pleasure would be an understatement. I’m simply amazed at the accomplishments of this organization since my assumption of command. From assuming responsibility of the Main Communication Facility (MCF) to providing support to both the Kuwait Naval Base (KNB) and the Sea Port of Debarkation and Embarkation (SPOD/E); you guys simply produce results! For your vigilance, attention to detail and flat out pursuit of excellence, I know that as I look back over my career one of my fondest memories will be the time spent with you serving as the Cobra Commander. I’m forever grateful and wish all of you God Speed and nothing but the best in all of your future endeavors!

ow on to Business

The mission of the mighty 228th Signal Company doesn’t stop as a

result of a change in leaders. We welcome with open arms to the cobra family CPT Bullock and 1SG Goings, who will take this great organization to the next level. I expect you to provide them with the same level of unwavering support that you have given me. I challenge you to continue to focus on the principles of this organization: mission accomplishment and developing the “Total Soldier”. As I have attempted to drive home on many occasions, to truly excel you must focus on continual development physically, tactically and technically. Take advantage of all the opportunities in which this tour has to offer. Be productive. “Do the time, don’t let the time do You.” Success requires sacrifice. I ask you to remember as you burn the midnight oil studying for certifications, completing college work, or sweating in gym, “if it were easy then everyone would do it, however if everyone did it, it wouldn’t be the same.”

Stay motivated Cobras!

In closing, I would like to bid farewell to MSG

Telles who served with distinction and honor as the company First Sergeant. I would also like to personally congratulate SFC Ferraro for his selection to be the 1SG for the 56th Signal Company and wish him much continued success. To all of my Soldiers that have been promoted, completed a certification, achieved a personal goal, or earn the APFT excellence award, congrats to you as well, now get your butt back out there and get after the next objective.

Strike First!
