the scientists who contributed to the development of
a computer thought that nothing is important since
we die. Do you think that the computer or the paper
printed out from a computer would have the form you
use right now? Do you think reading that essay would
be that easy? Perhaps a BIG NO GOES. For example,
think yourself as having a long journey on foot with a
great feel of thirst and suddenly you came up with a
water fountain which is constructed by a benefactor.
If that benefactor would not care about the men who
make their journey on that road and would not place a
fountain most probably you would feel more and more
thirst even leading to extreme death in extreme cases.
When we claim that, all of the humans living today
would be dead in the following 200 years based on
the observation that all other humans became death
in 200 years, it sounds weird because there is no
perfect evidence. As a human who has a certain limit
of understanding and evaluating we can never be sure
we will be dead in 200 years. It is not different from
the generalizations we have in science which do not go
beyond being an assumption. If there is one example
that can debunk the whole theory then the theory is
falsified. This method of disproving should be used to
judge generalizations since a human has its own limited

absolute truths that we cannot be fully right or wrong
when we think about the possibility of being dead at
the end. The main point is life is to serve. People should
ask themselves the question “To what extent had I
came up with an idea or product that would change the
tomorrow of other people?” when they are in hurry to
find the meaning of a life. Because even though we have
the possibility to departure from that world, our ideas
and the thing we generated would continue to stay on
Earth.

FELSEFE OLİMPİYATI
SINAVI
Okulumuz, 6 yıldır aktif olarak katıldığı Türkiye Felsefe
Olimpiyatı sınavları için 5 yıldır sınav merkezi olarak
devam etmektedir. Felsefeye ilgi duyan, düşünen ve
sorgulayan aynı zamanda güncel sorunlara değinen
bireyler yetiştirmek amacıyla, her yıl “Türkiye Felsefe
Kurumu” tarafından düzenlenen olimpiyat sınavı 4 Aralık
2019 Pazar günü 13 merkezde gerçekleşmiştir. Felsefe
olimpiyatı sınavında; Türkiye ve Dünya genelinde geçmiş
yıllarda elde ettiğimiz çeşitli başarıları (Dünya ikincisi,
Türkiye dördüncüsü, yedincisi, ondördüncüsü.) devam
ettirmek adın bu yılda Erzurum ilinden ve bölgeden gelen
lise öğrencilerinin katılımıyla felsefe olimpiyatı sınavı
gerçekleşmiştir. Her yıl, 500 ila 600 öğrencinin katılım
gösterdiği sınavın ilk 50 sırlamasına giren öğrencilerin
sonuçları açıklanmaktadır. Katılan iki öğrencimiz: Nihat
Nebil Büyükgölcigezli ve Ayberk Aykul ilk 50 içinde yer
aldılar. Kendilerini tebrik ederiz ve Katılım gösteren
okullara ve öğrencilere teşekkürederiz.
Baltık Ülkeleri Uluslararası Felsefe Olimpiyatı sınavına
24.10.2018 tarihinde 2 öğrenciyle: Nihat Nebil
Büyükgölcigezli ve Ayberk Aykul ile katıldık. Sınava 11
Ülkeden, 306 lise öğrencisi katıldı. Türkiye ve Dünya
Felsefe olimpiyatı sınavlarında ve Baltık Ülkeleri Felsefe
Olimpiyatında elde ettiğimiz başarıları devam ettirerek,
Baltık Ülkeleri Uluslararası Felsefe Olimpiyatında
Öğrencimiz Nihat Nebil Büyükgölcigezli, Jüri Özel
Onur Ödülüne layık görülmüştür. Kendisini tebrik eder
başarılarının devamını dileriz.
