Heart Dissection Reflection

We used a scalpel to gently cut the heart and the secret
parts hidden inside slowly revealed themselves. My anxiety
turned into excitement as we explored these amazing
structures. Seeing how perfectly our hearts are designed
amazed me and I felt lucky to have the chance to examine it.
This experiment raised my love for science.

heart is, because it stays with us from our birth to our death,
always pumping blood through our body. The heart valves
especially amazed me, because they don’t allow blood to go
backward or to move in the wrong direction”.

It was my first time dissecting a heart and I was quite
nervous actually. It was an incredibly exciting experience for
me. At first I couldn’t even touch it, because the cold and
soft feeling it gave disgusted me, but when we cut it in half, I
really enjoyed feeling the tissues even under the gloves.
