Happy (Pie-e) Day
When I came to school on Saturday, all I knew about
Pi Day was the shape of the pi number and the integer
value of pi. When I went to the conference room and
watched the slide prepared for the day of pi, I actually
realized that I didn't know much about pi.
When we returned to the classes and started solving the
puzzle about pi day, we had a hard time. A few students
from the eleventh grade also came to help us with our
work on pi. When we creatd groups and staed research
for our poster, I have to say that we come across very
surprising and entertaining information. Did you know
that 14 March's Pi Day celebration is related to the
number pi of 3.14? Or did you know that Einstein was
born on Pi Day?
After making these informative researches, we started
to make our poster with our group of five people. Mr.
Torres also examined our posters in the meantime. We
started to write some interesting information about
pi. After we finished, we gathered around. Presenting
posters in front of the jury members of the eleventh
grade was both exciting and fun. We had fun watching
the presentation of the groups before us but we were

very excited when it came to us. But this was a nice
experience for us. There would also be slides in front of
the school and this presentation was a preparation for
this. We got the second after the judges' scoring, but
since I had such a beautiful day, I and my other friends in
the group were the first for me.
On that day, I would like to thank the mathematics
teachers, the jury members of the eleventh year, and all
my friends in the group or not. Happy Pi Day!
