Accident All Filled. With the passed years. Carrying the world in the back since then A turtle with tinytoes on the beach of pebbles. All was fun. Legos were skyscrapers. A dreamtworld. Got ready for the marathon. All started. With a kiss. From the lover or a foreigner of now. Full of touch. Lacked meaning. The lectures. The passage. The regrets All was not monotonous yet Sparkles from the endless fire of youth. Could see in your eyes. All things were about to fall apart. Years were lost. Couldn't see in your eyes. Neither the fire, nor me. Not done. The story of ours. Will be told by the loud whistles on the shore of LA. The Sun set down and you were gone. Tones of meaning, no touch. Hakan ILICALI 11-B The Heart of Venice The cruel fireball in the cloudless sky was giving out blazing streams of lights on the St. Mark’s Square –one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy. Yet, a 30 THE CLAPPER 2018 - 2019 faint breeze, as though it had heard the complaints of the people, was blowing in a kind way from the sea to the square. The endless jade sea was splashing calmly; skinny dogs were barking nervously as though they were demanding cold drinks; the bossy, obese and dark- amber cats were satisfied with the interest in them, while the greedy, pretty and ugly crows were screaming deafeningly making your ears explode. Even though the crows looked grotesque, everyone was feeding them with the stinking birdseeds. Fortunately, the sacred breeze was carrying away the stench of birdseeds. The dazzling pale-yellow sun lights and the reflection of the sun lights on the vast taupe ground were urging visitors to search for a patch of a shade on the naked square. However, some fascinated visitors were staring at the “Basilica di San Marco” as though they were in trance. Against the coast, the huge marigold basilica was enclosed by fuchsia bougainvilleas and crimson hibiscuses that were about to burst into bloom by the beginning of spring. Sparkling like a diamond, six sage domes of the basilica were blinding eyes as well as the ground. The astonishing Gothic structure of the church was causing the church to seem like a structure from middle ages. On the other hand, the beige walls softened the gothic structure and the rare mix of the gothic and modern created a delightful view for sightseers. However, five deep and spooky arches among the plump fluted pillars were the mouths of the most fearsome creature in the world, scaring the visitors but the basilica was compelling nevertheless. The central arch, which was surrounded with many ornate figures, was leading to the huge, silver and somehow rusty gate. Next, to the basilica, the lofty belfry was joining the clouds with its triangular glass spire. The faded burnt-red brick walls of the belfry were relaxing the sightseers and the celery bulky bell at the belfry, which was surrounded with many plump pillars, was ringing loudly.
