The Republic of Namibia has received financing from the African Water Facility towards the cost of the Windhoek Integrated Water and Wastewater Master Plan ( WIAWMP ) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for consulting services for WIAWMP . The services included under this project are specialised engineering and financial investigation of the water and wastewater services of the City of Windhoek . The objective is to provide a strategic master plan document with a vision for the sustainable development and operation of water and wastewater facilities for City of Windhoek . The studies further include hydraulic modelling of the water and wastewater bulk and reticulation networks and aim to provide an operational document dictating the required works , costs , impacts , and sequence of investment for the required water and wastewater infrastructure . It also includes the detail design of a priority investment . The project duration is approximately 30 calendar months .
