The Republic of Namibia has received financing from the African Water Facility towards the cost of the Windhoek Integrated Water and Wastewater Master Plan( WIAWMP) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for consulting services for WIAWMP. The services included under this project are specialised engineering and financial investigation of the water and wastewater services of the City of Windhoek. The objective is to provide a strategic master plan document with a vision for the sustainable development and operation of water and wastewater facilities for City of Windhoek. The studies further include hydraulic modelling of the water and wastewater bulk and reticulation networks and aim to provide an operational document dictating the required works, costs, impacts, and sequence of investment for the required water and wastewater infrastructure. It also includes the detail design of a priority investment. The project duration is approximately 30 calendar months.
