I have lived here for 30 years and i cannot believe the racism.
I have lived here most of my life and raised children here and i am proud to call it my home.
I like because of Lincoln Sites. Fly dumping is a big issue. When people are caught doing this nothing is done,
Landlords are then ticketed it. This is not fair because they did not dump it.
I like living near the playgrounds and the rivers and the lake, i do a lot of fishing and going to the races, things
like that.
I moved from Chicago to Springfield specifically due to opportunities (greenery, Lincoln sites) More
improvements needed like everywhere. (ex: busses, more libraries, jobs, educations) Springfield is less crime
rate, and more opportunities available. She raved about the police department from sheriff to local being
very kind and helpful.
I think Jerome residents should be able to use Springfield libraries.
I think Springfield has a lot to do with School district.
I think that new leader ship is on its way and Sangamon is headed in the right direction.
I think we're very fortunate to have the medical facilities we have in Sangamon County. It amazes him how
many people come into this city for medical treatment. The Lincoln heritage sites bring people in from all over
the world. There are some fantastic people in this city. This city is very blessed with great parks that are well
maintained for the most part. He is amazed during a snowstorm at how well the city takes care of the road
and the department deserves a big hand. It is a little country town compared to big cities.
I would like more city support of habitat for humanity. Replace dilapidated housing for housing available to
habitat for humanity.
I would like to see a more honest government, schools, jobs, and much more.
I wouldn't want to live any place else!!
Improve downtown Springfield-the library-residential development and planning.
In certain areas, the quality of life is good when comparing energy, housing and utility prices. It is also is a
good place to raise children although we need to have more culture to offer them. It is lacking when
compared other capitals in attracting industry and diversity. Policies need to be changed in order to attract
more businesses to the area.
In regards to schools (is a substitute teacher). He sees a severe lack in parental involvement in education.
There are plenty of kids that would thrive with more parental involvement. If they don't, they may run afoul
with the law and we all end up paying for it.
In Springfield major improvements need to be made to sidewalks.
Incompetence in govt. more political and not worried about anything else.
Infrastructure is in pretty bad shape.
It is a good county but there are many problems. There is a lot of waste of money. There is no comradery to
fix the problems. There needs to be joint efforts to get that taken care of.
It is a great place to live and work and raise a family.
It is very enjoyable living here
It would be very beneficial to contact surrounding areas for the politicians.
I’ve lived here all my life so I am not a good judge of anywhere else (can't compare).
