The Chocolate Den e-magazine The Chocolate Den e-magazine July-September 2015 | Page 3

Hi All Huge apologies for the late arrival of the E-Mag. June and July, traditionally our quieter months of the year, were very busy with stock take and getting ready for our winter sale and launch of the outdoors. The winter sale turned out to be a great success. The reason for the sale was excess stock of some items which we came across during our stock take and not a closing down sale as some people feared. The Chocolate Den is healthy and happy and we intend sharing many happy generations ahead with all of you. Talking about future generations, Felicity Goldstein has come onboard, and now does classes, parties and workshops for our younger customers. This term she is doing a fantastic workshop for kids up to 7 years old as well as 8 years and up. The workshop is on decorating a “Frozen” theme cake. Our cake icing, edible lace and chocolate classes are starting up and you can find the program for these classes at the end of this E-Mag. I am teaching some old favorite classes and a few new ones as well. A good and fun new class of mine is Belgium Christmas Chocolates. I will also be teaching an introductory class in isomalt. The Christmas launch this year will be taking place over the first three Saturdays in October. We have decided to spread the workshops over two Saturdays instead of the traditional one day. The third Saturday will be aimed at kids workshops. We have been busy working on the new ideas and I am really very excited and motivated for these classes. Bookings can be made mid September. We will send out detailed information closer to the time. Over the next few Saturdays we will be introducing a new brand of chocolate that is exclusive to The Chocolate Den. This fantastic product is a coverture chocolate but the beauty with it is that it does not need to be tempered. Please pop in to taste and try this fantastic new product. The Chocolate Den outdoor area is a great place for your family to relax and enjoy while you shop at your leisure. On Saturdays we will be selling cupcakes and cakes as well as something to drink. Also available are our delicious fondues to which you can treat yourself and your families. On a final note, Jackie’s cat, “The Tiglet” is coming along literally in leaps and bounds. It is hard to believe that it is the same little emaciated kitten from six months ago. He has taught us so much, not least how far a little love can go. Wishing you all a happy spring when it arrives. Toni and staff at The Chocolate Den
