Layered Chocolate Mint Cubes
What you will need:
450g dark chocolate
220g white chocolate
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tin condensed milk
vanilla essence
peppermint essence
green food colouring
How to make your Chocolate mint cubes:
Melt the dark and white chocolate in two separate bowls.
Add four tablespoons of butter to the dark chocolate.
Add one tablespoon of butter to the white chocolate.
Pour two thirds of the tin of condensed milk and the vanilla essence into the
dark chocolate and mix well. If the chocolate is not smooth and glossy add
a few tablespoons of milk and mix well.
Pour the remainder of the condensed milk into the white chocolate together with
the peppermint essence and green colouring and blend well.
Pour half the dark chocolate onto a lined baking tray and place in the fridge
for 10 minutes.
Keep the balance of the dark chocolate and the white chocolate over hot water.
Pour the white chocolate onto the dark chocolate and place back in the fridge for
a further 10 minutes.
Pour the remaining dark chocolate over the white chocolate.
Place back in the fridge to set.
When firm cut into cubes.
Eat as is or dip the chocolate mint cube into dark chocolate and then decorate.
