Chocolate Panel cake
Chocolate panels on a cake is a quick and very beautiful way of decorating
any cake from a simple cake for tea to a five tier wedding cake. The fantastic
thing about decorating cakes this way is that you ca prepare your panels weeks
advance and use them when needed.

Choose a structure sheet
of your choice and cut it
into strips approximately
3cm x 10cm. Cover the
strip in a chocolate of your
choice and then scrape off
the excess chocolate with
a spatula or back of a
knife.

Place melted
chocolate on the
bottom of the panel
and stick it directly
onto your cake.

Allow the chocolate to set outside
of the freezer then add a second
layer in a different colour by
spooning the chocolate onto your
structure sheet.
Set the chocolate in
the freezer for three
minutes, then remove
and peel sheet away
from the chocolate
panel.

Pour a cooled
chocolate ganache
over the centre of
the cake. allow to
settle and then
decorate as desired.
