From the Desk of the Editor
The 2007 National K-12/Collegiate Chess
Championship took place December 7 – 9, 2007
in Houston Texas. There were over 500 teams
representing 39 of the 50 States. The state of
Arizona fielded the fourth largest amount of
scholastic chess players (just under 100), behind Texas, New York and Florida with the
Arizona students placing over all, very well in
the national tournament.
