For this final issue of 2015-16, each student in Writing In the Digital Age submitted an article and layout that he or she researched, composed, and designed. The students then voted on which should be included in this issue, and they based their selections on each article's content, style, and design.
Because these articles were submitted during the week of final exams, the writers did not have as much time to revise as they would have liked. Further, since each writer was solely responsible for his or her design, the overall layout of this issue is slightly less uniform than the others we published this year. Thus, some pages are longer than others, so readers might need to scroll down to view them entirely.
We hope that our readers will recognize the efforts of our student writers to present information on topics that they believe are relevant and interesting to a wide audience that includes not only Providence Day students, faculty, staff, and parents but also people around the world.
This was the first year of Writing In the Digital Age, and the teachers, Matt Spence and Katie Kirkland, would like to thank the students for their hard work, courage, and commitment. We have learned as much from each of you as you have from us, and you have made this year wonderful and challenging in so many ways. We would also like to thank the readers who have provided valuable commentary on the work our students have produced this year, and we want to express our appreciation to our colleagues and friends who have supported this course since the beginning.
