Charging toward construction

Three years after the campaign began, Providence Day is close to beginning the long-awaited process of renovating its campus.

For years it has been Providence Day’s goal to construct a new academic building. The trailers have never been considered a permanent solution, but rather a short term answer to a difficult problem. However, due to things like the 2008 recession, the temporary classrooms are in their 23rd year on campus. But as the Providence Day community learned this past fall, change is finally coming.

The person in charge of overseeing the campaign is Associate Head of School for Institutional Advancement, Mr. Jeff Appel. While Appel has other responsibilities, most of his day is spent working to perfect this intricate project.
