Tennis club recognizes
Kathi Gray
I would like to
take this opportu-
nity to reflect on
all the positive
things that are
happening at the
club and provide
HALL recognition to the
hard work and
teamwork of our
board, club members and staff. A
great deal has been accomplished
during the past year and this pro-
vides evidence that our updated
plans, processes and organization
structure are working effectively.
Just look around and you can see evi-
dence of it in the general appearance of
the club, our positive financial status,
the success of our USTA teams, the un-
precedented list of individuals on our
wait list, the abundance of volunteers
assisting with projects and the lack of
any real issues. We also completed a
number of projects in a timely manner
including the hiring of a high-profile
tennis pro Bruce Reed and the addition
of pickleball to our product line.
Special recognition is provided to
Kathi Gray who not only serves as the
CTC president but is an active member
of the planning, social and mainte-
nance committees. Not only does Kathi
organize and facilitate the board meet-
ings, she is a tireless worker assisting

work with. The following is a profile
which illustrates Kathi’s background
and love of tennis.
Kathi was born and raised in Port-
land, attending parochial schools and
graduating from Lewis and Clark Col-
lege. Always loving sports, in a time
when there were not many opportuni-
ties, playing tennis at the local park was
as good as it got! Kathi did not return to
her love of tennis until her two children,
Terry and Christine were well on their
way to adulthood! As life changed and
she moved away from Portland, tennis
was always the common denominator
that made her feel “at home” in a new
community. As a supportive wife in the
business world, traveling and entertain-
ing, which she enjoyed very much, in-
troduced her to many new friends and
countries. As a very goal oriented
