the End of the Year Banquet,
we entertained the Niners —
as well as performing for the
Charbonneau community,
family and friends, and the
CWGA. Thanks go to Joan-
na Sawyer for the choreog-
raphy lessons and patience
for the dance routine!
Months of practice. Robyn
Andrus and Cheryl Barnum
deserve thanks for selecting
the theme and music for all
the skits! Applause!
We should feel extremely
proud of the success of Pink
Ball 2019. A record $65,207
was raised and presented to
OHSU/Knight Cancer Insti-
tute. “On behalf of everyone
at the OHSU Knight Cancer
Institute, thank you so much
for your incredible philan-
thropic support of our mis-
sion to end cancer as we
know it. Because of your gen-
erosity and commitment, our
researchers are making ex-
citing progress against this
disease every day. Thank
you!” said Lisa Nolen, associ-
ate director of community in-
volvement.
Peg Watson, the initiator
of Pink Ball, was our guest at
the End of the Year Banquet.
Peg, 93, has been playing golf
for 35 years at Charbonneau
and is still a Niner! We pre-
sented her with a Charbon-
neau golf jacket and look for-
ward to seeing her on the

ing our 2019 season.
Trophies, ribbons and certif-
icates were presented to all
2019 tournament winners. Con-
gratulations to everyone.
The “Disney on Parade” per-
formance was given after the
meeting. You were a wonder-
ful audience. It was quite an
enjoyable evening.
What about you? We will
need performers for new
skits for 2020. Have you ever
wanted to be a stage star?
Please make sure your
name is on the sign-up sheet
and want to do so, let us
know!
The Niners are always
looking for and welcome your
participation in the many
committees we have. These
committees are the reason for
our fun season!
There are still a few of us
playing golf on Tuesday.
Warm clothes, gloves, hats,
and coffee to go and off we go.
