Watercolors Class Sessions Begin

Students will explore watercolor
painting, materials, techniques and
art history, and have fun in the
process! Projects are directed toward
the needs of the students, with care
taken to address beginners and
advanced designs. Students will be
asked to call instructor to review
supplies before class, in an effort to
keep cost down, and make use of the
student’s existing materials.
Classes will be held in six-week
sessions, $60, Wednesday mornings 10
a.m.-12 p.m. in the Charbonneau
Country Club Fireplace room. The
first session begins on Wednesday,
March 6, and there is new material
each week. Call Elaine to sign-up. 503-

Charbonneau Shuttle Training: Let’s
Visit the Wilsonville Library
Have you tried our FREE
Charbonneau Shuttle that travels
from the Charbonneau area to major
shopping destinations within
Wilsonville? We need to increase
ridership if we want this wonderful
service to continue. Use it or lose it!
We are planning a training session
March 2019
on Thursday, March 21 at 10 .a.m.
Park in the Charbonneau Country
Club parking lot, catch the shuttle at
10 a.m. and let the driver know we
want to be dropped off at the
Wilsonville Library. Wear a
comfortable pair of shoes and dress
for the weather (umbrella optional)
because we will need to walk about 50
yards to the bus stop when we are
ready to head back to Charbonneau.
Come and join us for this fun
outing, which includes some walking
on a spring day.
Fourth Friday at Five Social Event
The final “Fourth Friday at Five” of
the year is happening on Friday,
March 22, at 5 p.m.
At this social event, residents will
enjoy a light supper from one of our
approved caterers.
Be sure to bring your own
beverage and enjoy the company of
your fellow Charbonneau neighbors. If
you know someone who has recently
moved to Charbonneau, be sure to let
them know about this event and how
they can buy tickets, which are $5. It
would be nice to invite newcomers to
sit with you, make them feel welcome
and introduce them to others.
To attend, you will need to
purchase a ticket, which go on sale at
9 a.m. March 1. If you put it off, you
risk the chance of the event selling
out. Only 150 reservations are
available; tickets have been known to
sell out in one day.
As an added plus, CCC board
members and the staff of the Villager
will be on hand to discuss the latest
Charbonneau news and answer any
questions you may have.
The Paint and Pour in April will focus on Easter; this group used their watercolors to create unique Valentine
images in February.
AARP Smart Driver Course
An AARP Smart Driver Course
will be held at Charbonneau Country
Club on Monday and Tuesday,
March 25-26, from 1 to 4 p.m. each
day. The class is limited to the first
thirty to sign up.
Those over 55 may qualify for a
discount on their automobile
insurance. The discount continues
for three years for those under 70,
two years for those over 70.
No driving or final examination is
required. This course curriculum is
the product of years of research,
input from dedicated volunteers, and
insight from experts across the
transportation and driver safety
industries.
Register in the CCC office at 503-
694-2300 or email Office@
CharbonneauCountryClub.com.
The course fee is $15 for AARP
members and $20 for non-members.
Checks should be made payable to
AARP. The class will be taught by
an AARP volunteer.
Easter Paint & Pour
On Friday, April 5, from 3-5:30
p.m., join us for an Easter Paint &
Pour and help us find “The Easter
Bunny.” He’s fast, but maybe with a
little wine and a chocolate or two,
we’ll have him painted!
Paint and pours are designed for
you to learn a little bit about
watercolor and to have a lot of fun in
the process. The cost is $20 and
Elaine will have all the supplies you
need.
Charbonneau residents are invited
to bring their own wine or soft drinks
(some snacks will be provided). Call
the CCC office to sign-up at 503-694-
2300. Come awaken your inner artist
and have a Happy Easter!
