Ayresome Park - Middlesbrough The Archibald Leitch designed Ayresome Park was home to Middlesbrough from 1903 until 1995 . The
south east corner of the ground overlapped slightly with the site of
the Paradise Ground , home to Middlesbrough Ironopolis until their
demise in 1894 . During its 92 year existence it played host to 1,689 League games and some group matches during the 1966 World Cup . After Middlesbrough moved to the Riverside Stadium the ground was demolished and the site is now covered by housing . The semi-circular gable from the North Stand ( see opposite ) was sold to a nearby pub and put on display to customers .
