Thank you for your interest in the Children’s Hospital at Scott & White. Your support will allow Scott & White to expand and build upon exceptional patient care services, for the children of Central Texas. The Children’s Hospital at Scott & White WAYS TO GIVE Supporting the new Children’s Hospital at Scott & White will benefit many children and their families in the years to come. It also benefits you in tangible ways through a reduced tax burden and by knowing that your kindness will help us make a difference in helping young patients live better lives. Our philanthropic goal is to raise $50 million through a two-phase fundraising campaign. Phase I requires $35 million to complete the hospital renovation; the remaining balance will be needed in Phase II for ongoing recruitment of clinical talent and the acquisition of technology and other resources. Scott & White gratefully receives gifts of cash, securities, real estate, life insurance, and tangible personal property. Other types of gifts that meet the needs of the hospital and the desire of the donor also may be considered. Planned gifts, such as wills, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and life estates, are also accepted. Gifts may be unrestricted to the general campaign fund or restricted to support a project or program of special interest to the donor. For example, a gift may be restricted for use to support the construction of the pediatric intensive care unit or directed toward recruitment of a pediatric specialist or research project. Know that whatever way you choose, you are healing the lives of others who are in need. Please feel free to call a gift officer in the Office of Development at 800-293-4483. All gifts to Scott & White qualify as charitable contributions and are deductible as such on income tax returns for the year in which the gift is made. 40 THE CATALYST Fall 10 | sw.org
