for CHILDREN COLT McCOY Quarterback, Cleveland Browns Advocate, Vision Campaign: Children’s Hospital at Scott & White During the National Football League 2010 draft, the Cleveland Browns chose former University of Texas Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy, winner of 13 of 15 major college player awards, including Quarterback of the Year. Mr. McCoy’s impressive career is matched by his keen perspective on some of life’s challenges. He loves children and so is a perfect fit as advocate for the new Children’s Hospital at Scott & White. He also embraces the practice of giving back. W hen I was growing up, we would always pray for people on our church bulletin’s prayer list. Many of the people were at Scott & White, so when I was very little, I asked my mom, “What is Scott & White?” She told me it’s the big hospital everyone goes to in Texas when they’re really sick. So I’ve always thought of it that way, as a great place. It means a lot to me to be the advocate for Scott & White’s new Children’s Hospital. I know firsthand that having good medical care close to home makes a big difference to families.
