Children are our future A child is supposed to grow up safe and healthy . Each year the children ’ s hospital at Scott & White treats thousands of children who are devastated by traumatic accidents , diseases , and congenital defects that thwart their ability to thrive . Hundreds of others are uprooted when they must leave the area and their homes to seek care elsewhere because their needs are beyond the scope of our current capacity .
We believe each child deserves to receive comprehensive , high-quality , specialty pediatric care near them . Within a dedicated facility designed solely around their needs . In a comfortable and childfriendly environment , at a trusted place near the place they call home . We believe that all children should have the chance to reach their full potential , regardless of where they live or the healthcare challenges that taint their promise .
Immediate need and consequence call us to act , to increase our ability to serve our most vulnerable . As more people call
Central Texas home , Scott & White must reach beyond its existing walls and serve an increasing number of children to the best of our ability . In local and rural areas , in urban enclaves and in our neighborhoods , we will care for all children who need convenient access to pediatric expertise .
