Office of Development Update We’re grateful for the many blessings of the past year, including our dedicated network of support from individuals, corporations and foundations. Without their loyalty, Scott & White couldn’t achieve all it does on behalf of the many people we serve. Here’s just one example of how this support makes a profound difference: the Texas Resources for Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment (TRIAD) Fund of the Dallas Foundation dispersed an emergency grant of $60,000 to fund additional counselors at Scott & White Military Homefront Services, a program that serves the mental health needs of military families. This generous gift has allowed the program to offer vital counseling services to our brave military personnel after the devastating tragedy at Fort Hood last November. The challenges we face—as a community, a region, a nation—can be eased by working together. At Scott & White we’re working hard to find solutions. We’re working toward discovering new treatments and cures so patients can live better lives. It’s the good work of the Scott & White team and our community partners that fills me with hope and optimism for the new year. As we focus on expanding access to specialty healthcare services and forge new partnerships, we remain grateful to each of you and wish you a happy and healthy 2010.
