Legacy Guest recognizes DONOR GENEROSITY s a new way to thank Scott & White benefactors, the Scott & White Healthcare Office of Development has created Legacy Guest. This innovative program will provide special benefits and personal attention by the Office of Development to donors in appreciation for their generosity to Scott & White. “Legacy Guests receive the same high quality care and treatment that all of our patients receive,” says Susan Fergus, RN, Legacy Guest program director. “But because of their continued support they are extended some special services.” Some of the services during a hospital stay include flowers in the room, daily newspaper delivery and a get-well kit. Obstetric patients may receive a baby bib, silver spoon or baby blanket. Legacy Guests will receive help with admission if needed, and will have highest priority for a VIP private room in the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM), if available. During their stay, participants also will be given a pager number that gives them 24-hour access to an Office of Development representative. Two basic levels of participation are available and are determined by the benefactor’s contribution. Benefactors who have donated cumulative gifts of $10,000 or more will be lifetime participants. Those who have donated cumulative annual gifts of $1,000 or more will be annual participants. Donors who have given the minimum amount are automatically eligible for Legacy Guest. They will receive information packets in the mail that will explain the program and its benefits, along with the paperwork necessary to participate. Benefactors who wish to remain anonymous can opt out of the program.
