The Center for Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease, located at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple and currently designated as a Primary Stroke Center, is working towards even higher recognition as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. In addition, within the Plummer Movement Disorders Center, the revitalization of a neurosurgical technique called deep brain stimulation (DBS) and introduction of a lifechanging medication for patients with advanced cases of Parkinson’s disease are helping patients like never before.
