Adding the human touch
to technology
“We are an institution that focuses
on comfort and quality of life for
our patients and their families,” says
Dr. Kane. A good example is our
Special Procedure Unit, where
procedures, such as biopsies, are
performed in a pain-free environment.
The unit is staffed by highly trained,
certified pediatric providers who are
dedicated to care for these children
and ensure their comfort. Parents are
encouraged to stay with their children
during the procedure so they feel safe
and secure. Dr. Kane adds, “You can
see what happens with these children.
Some of our patients actually enjoy
