advanced expertise. They’ve teamed up with
PHI Air Medical to offer helicopter
transport for mothers-to-be who experience
complications that need rapid access to
maternal, fetal or neonatal intensive care.
For area hospitals and rural caregivers,
this program, the only one of its kind in
the region, proves to be a valuable resource
for mother and baby. The likelihood of
neonatal survival and the chances of
avoiding serious complications are both
improved if a pregnant mother is
transported before delivery rather than
having her baby transported after delivery.
